Administration / Configuration

 

Explanation

Access to the Configuration screen should Severely limited. Only the system administrator and maybe one or two other senior administrators should have access. Configuration is used to enter data about the company and how ExpressMaintenance is to operate. Changes made on the Configuration screen are system wide. There are two tabs, Main and API
 
The Main Tab is for changing configuration for each individual table of the program
The API tab (short for Artificial Programming Interface) is for enabling and controlling the following:

- Auto Work Request to Work Order
- Auto Service PM to Work Work Order
- Auto Email for Work Order Generated from either of the above.

 

The Main defaults tab screen is divided into several sections.  Each covers the defaults for a particular area of the program

Note: All settings made under Configuration are system wide.  You should limit access to Configuration and other Administrative functions to the system administrator and maybe one or two other senior administrators.
